Wellerman Sea shanty enamel mug

A really beautiful enamel mug featuring the much loved and well known nostalgic verse from a favourite sea shanty

" Soon may the Wellerman come
To bring us sugar and tea and rum

A beautiful mug for children or adults. Inspired by the nostalgic songs I use to chant and sing in childhood and with my own children when they were small. This is a great mug to take on adventures, picnics, fishing, sailing or to the beach!

They are brilliant, practical every day mugs that also make a wonderful gift that could be filled with sweets, hot chocolate goodies, socks, fishing bait, a spotty neckerchief, a miniature bottle of rum, hip flask....the list goes on!

The mug has the traditional royal blue hand painted rim and the text has been engraved onto the surface of the mug to give a long lasting harder wearing finish than transfer or sublimated mugs. Although they are dishwasher safe we still recommend hand washing for longevity. The text is black and my logo is engraved on the outer base \ bottom.

I have sourced mugs that have a hand painted, hand made finish to reflect the nostalgic vintage enamelware from childhood and camping holidays. Please be aware that this means that the mugs will have deliberate imperfections, These may include uneven edge where the rim is painted, or little imperfections on the enamel surface itself. None of these affect the use of the mug and are simply my personal aesthetic preference to look less new and mass produced. You can see examples of these in any of the mugs in my enamel mug folder.
